Well at least the San Diego Padres were able to take all of their frustrations towards the Giants out on them in their Thursday night outing. After three straight losses that had seen poor pitching, failure to bring runners in, and a very questionable overturned call all lead to the Friars faltering, they were able to to capture the angry win over them they had been waiting for and prevailed 10-0.

This was a huge turnaround compared to the rest of the series and even though we wish they have been able to get started on offense early in their losses like they did on Thursday, fans have to be happy with them not getting swept.

Gary Sanchez decided to set the tone for San Diego yet again in the first inning when he connected on a three-run home run that also allowed Ha-Seong Kim and Juan Soto to score. After kicking off of his Padres stint quite well, he was in the middle of a cold streak so it was great to see him find his way again here.

Manny Machado, who assured to the media on Wednesday that the Padres were not concerned about their RISP, then launched his own three-run bomb that paved the way for Fernando Tatis Jr. and Juan Soto to score.

It was tough to see the Padres go out the way they did in the past three games and they knew what they were getting into. San Fransisco was coming off of a sweep over the Los Angeles Dodgers na having home-field advantage always helps.

Joe Musgrove detailed their mindset heading into the final game best!

“Sometimes you just run into these teams that are hot,” Musgrove said. “You’ve got to be able to leave a series like this and go back home and pick up where we left off."
