Texas Rangers Opening Day Tickets on Sale
Texas Rangers tickets for Opening Day went on sale Friday morning at MLB.Tickets.com. The season begins March 30 against the Philadelphia Phillies at Globe Life Field.
Fans interested in buying tickets for the opener need to be become a Rangers Insider and enter a special coupon code (BEHERE). Details are available at Rangers.com.
Currently, tickets are as low as $60 for Opening Day, which stands in sharp contrast to the Rangers’ instate rival. A recent report pegged the lowest Opening Day tickets for the Houston Astros at more than double the Rangers’ price.
Tickets at the high end for the Rangers against the defending National League champs are listed at $650.
The Rangers are banking on a big year at the gate with arrival of Jacob deGrom leading a revamped pitching staff and manager Bruce Bochy. Texas has drawn more than two million fans in each of the last two years at Globe Life Field despite fielding one of the worst teams in baseball.
The Rangers, who averaged 24,832 fans last season, currently also have a number of season-ticket plans available at MLB.com, including full-season, half-season and 20-game packages.
One contending team, however, is planning to cut off season ticket sales before Opening Day. The Atlanta Braves are taking that unusual move to give more fans the opportunity to come to more games throughout the season.
