CINCINNATI — Braves superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. suffered a compete tear of the ACL in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season, the team announced on Sunday night.

The reigning National league MVP suffered the injury on the basepaths. It was a non-contact injury.

It's just awful news for the Braves, for Acuna and for the baseball world. The Reds have yet to play the Braves this season, but they'll play in Atlanta in July and in Cincinnati in September.
