Lucas Giolito seeks his fourth consecutive quality start

The White Sox (54-66) have another late night matchup against the Angels (60-63) in Anaheim. This is the second of a four-game series on the west coast. Last night, the White Sox scored four runs in the ninth to pull within one, but they fell just short in an 8-7 loss.

This time, the White Sox will have Giolito on the mound. He enters with a 3.42 ERA, 3.36 FIP, 3.85 xFIP, and 4.0 fWAR this season. In his most recent start, Giolito struck out 13 Athletics while issuing only one walk and allowing just two runs in six innings. However, the offense could not get anything going, and Giolito picked up a tough loss, as the Sox fell, 2-0. In his past three starts, Giolito has struck out 30 in 19 innings (14.21 K/9, mercy).
