Report: Dirk Nowitzki, Mavericks agree to two-year, $50 million deal

Dirk Nowitzki will sign a two-year, $50 million deal to stay with the Mavericks, reports ESPN’s Marc Stein.
Nowitzki has played his entire career in Dallas, and was widely expected to re-sign with the team all off-season. The All-Star forward had taken a significant pay cut the last two years, making less than $10 million in each season after making at least that much from 2002–2014.
Nowitzki averaged 18.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season, his 18th year in the league. The Mavericks made the playoffs but fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.
The 2011 Finals MVP, Nowitzki has averaged 22 points and 7.9 rebounds per game in his career. The native of Germany was the NBA’s MVP in 2007, and is a 13-time NBA All-Star.
