The Milwaukee Bucks take a short break as key duel with the Boston Celtics awaits

In this story:
After racking up ten straight wins in a stretch that included a three-game road trip punctuated by a back-to-back, the Milwaukee Bucks welcomed a short beak as a colossal clash is next on the schedule.
A very good road trip
Milwaukee head coach Mike Budenholzer said the short break is a much-needed one after the Bucks played two games in as many days on the road.
“Being on the road is not easy. A back-to-back with the Lakers and Clippers is not easy,” Budenholzer said after the team’s 119-106 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.
Milwaukee kicked off a three-game road trip with a 127-108 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers then defeated the LA Lakers, 115-106, before getting another win against the Clippers.
“It was a very good road trip for us,” Budenholzer said.
The victory against the Clippers stretched the Bucks’ winning streak to 10, which the team did not achieve since 2019-20.
“The guys’ focus has been good. We’re obviously in a good rhythm, so it’s good that we have a couple of days without a game. Catch up on our bodies and things like that,” said Budenholzer.
Marquee matchup
Up next for the Bucks are the NBA-leading Boston Celtics.
The two teams are neck-and-neck in the Eastern Conference standings with the Celtics (41-16) ahead of the Bucks (39-17) by just one and a half games.
Aside from preserving their current streak, the Bucks will be looking to score some measure of revenge when they play the Celtics on Tuesday night at the Fiserv Forum.
The Celtics thumped the Bucks during their first meeting in Boston on December 25th, 118-139.
The second meeting will be a much different affair since the Bucks have Khris Middleton regaining his form along with new recruit Jae Crowder.
The Bucks have yet to lose since Middleton returned from an 18-game absence as the deadly gunner adds firepower to an already potent combination of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday.
