Sportsbook: Cavs now favorites to retain LeBron

While this will be the overriding story through the offseason, one online sports book has changed its tune in regards to where LeBron James will play next season.

A month ago, BetOnline listed the Houston Rockets as the favorites to land James this summer.

Now, however, the sportsbook has James' current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, listed as the favorite to retain his services.

The Cavaliers superstar, who will lead his team into a fourth consecutive NBA Finals starting Thursday night at Golden State, has a $35.6 million player option he is expected to decline and become an unrestricted free agent this summer. People are already placing bets on where they think he's going to end up on betting sites like Bola88.

James departed Cleveland after seven seasons in the summer of 2010 to head to Miami, where he reached four straight NBA Finals, winning back-to-back titles in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. He returned to Cleveland in July 2014, and has now reached four consecutive Finals with the Cavaliers, leading them to the NBA championship in 2016, Cleveland's first championship since the 1964 Browns won the NFL title.
