Celtics Get Good News on Health Front for Rematch vs. Cavaliers

In this story:

Tuesday, the Boston Celtics improved to 11-0 at TD Garden, earning a 120-113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The victory also moves them into a tie with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the NBA's best record (17-5).

But a day later, two-time All-Star Jaylen Brown popped up on the C's injury report due to a left ankle sprain. That's the result of a play late in the first half of Tuesday's win, where what appeared like it would end in two points at the rim turned into Brown rolling his left ankle.

However, he came out for warm-ups during halftime and played in the second half, finishing with 25 points, which tied Jayson Tatum for a team-high. He also registered four assists, a steal, and a block.

Fortunately for the hosts of Thursday's rematch against Cleveland, Brown's upgraded to available for the second half of this mini-series, per the Celtics.

Kristaps Porzingis, who recently missed four games due to a left calf strain, also surfaced on Boston's injury report. But like Brown, he'll be in the lineup.

The seven-foot-three center generated 21 points, ten rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal in Tuesday's victory.

Thursday's tilt will tip off at 7:30 EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the game before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
