When Jaden Springer was dealt from the Philadelphia 76ers to the division rival Boston Celtics, Sixers' President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey, made some underwhelming comments about his former player.

"Our evaluation was that his timetable to help a playoff team is farther out than what the second-round pick can do for us," Morey said.

Springer spoke about getting traded from the 76ers to the Celtics.

"I thought it was pretty good," as captured by CLNS Media. "Coming to a team like this, you can't go wrong. Probably the best team in the league, a bunch of great guys, great organization, and so far I'm loving it here."

When informed that Brad Stevens said he had his eye on the 21-year-old former Tennessee Volunteer for a while, Springer was thrilled.

"That's great to hear, especially coming from a place like this," he said. "That's big time."

Springer was asked about Morey's comments that a second-round pick was more valuable to the 76ers than him over the next few years.

"I ain't really worried about that too much," the newest Celtic said. "I'm here now."

Springer, who has been inactive for his first two games in Boston due to right ankle impingement, could make his debut during the Celtics' back-to-back with the Brooklyn Nets beginning on Tuesday.
