Kristaps Porzingis Highlights Jayson Tatum While Praising Celtics' Commitment to Sacrificing

The Boston Celtics center voiced the unselfishness of his team with their eyes set on that elusive championship.

The Boston Celtics improved to 4-0 against the New York Knicks this season, earning their eighth consecutive victory, a 116-102 win at Madison Square Garden.

The Celtics had another balanced attack with Jayson Tatum as the catalyst, facilitating the offense with Boston's weapons staying in control and taking over the game in the second half.

The visitors had six players score in double digits, led by Jaylen Brown, who had it going from the jump, finishing with 30 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Back in his old building, Kristaps Porzingis registered 22 on 7-11 shooting.

Following the victory, the seven-foot-three center was the latest to voice the joy and thrill of being a part of this Celtics team that can come at you and dominate in so many different ways.

"JT, JB, Jrue, I've said it before, he probably is the guy that's sacrificed the most for winning, for being on this type of level team," Porzingis said. "But even JT -- he deserves a lot, like a lot of credit, because he could say, ‘(expletive) it, I want to score 30 every night, I want to get the MVP,' but he's not doing that, and I think people are overlooking that. And you have to give him credit because when he does that, it makes everybody else do that, and then we're winning games because everybody's feeling good, everybody's scoring, all dangerous."

The big man knows that since day one of training camp, the Celtics have defined the willingness and ability to sacrifice, with finally achieving that 18th championship being Boston's only priority.

"So, I think he deserves a lot more credit than he's getting, and everybody has made a sacrifice, and I think people from the outside kind of see that, but us as players, we know what we're doing, and we know what the goal is, so we're all putting our stuff to the side for one bigger goal."
