Wednesday night's 50-point route of the Brooklyn Nets from the Boston Celtics on the second leg of a back-to-back at TD Garden was Joe Mazzulla's 100th career win as an NBA Head Coach.

Following the game, multiple Celtics players gave Mazzulla praise, as they have seen his growth over the last year and a half more than anyone.

Derrick White, who experienced having Mazzulla behind the Boston bench when he first got to the Celtics in Feb. 2022,

"Obviously, definitely a lot of growth," White said. "When I first got here, obviously I was with Ime (Udoka) and Will (Hardy), probably mostly, but I remember them telling me, 'You need to know everything with the defense, like, Joe is your guy.' So that's been my first introduction to Joe, and then obviously, him being head coach, it's just been some great, just building that relationship with him, on the court and off the court. Great guy, great coach, and I just love playing for him."

Kristaps Porzingis, in the midst of his first season under Mazzulla, also glorified the Celtics' head coach.

"He's very underrated," stated Porzingis. "People don't appreciate who he is and how he coaches because he's very young and all that... I think people don't see who he is and how he really coaches. He deserves a lot of credit, and the rest of the coaching staff deserves a lot of credit."

Mazzulla will continue to display his growth toward the end of the season as the Celtics enter crunch time after the All-Star break next week.
