In this story:

After playing seven games in 12 days, then comfortably cruising past the Memphis Grizzlies, 131-91, in Marcus Smart's return to TD Garden on Sunday, the Boston Celtics have had time to recharge and recalibrate with the rare gift of getting in a few in-season practices.

The team atop the NBA standings, boasting a 38-12 record, now hosts the Atlanta Hawks in a Wednesday night clash.

As Boston aims to improve to 24-3 at TD Garden this season, it will have to do so without the services of Jrue Holiday. The two-time All-Star, initially listed as questionable for the contest, is out due to a right elbow sprain.

Jaylen Brown, who missed Sunday's victory vs. the Grizzlies because of lower back tightness, practiced on Tuesday and is back in the lineup.

The visitors are also down a member of their backcourt, with Dejounte Murray inactive due to lower back tightness. The former All-Star's name has been in the rumor mill quite a bit leading up to Thursday's trade deadline.

Center Clint Capela is also out because of a left adductor strain. But despite dealing with right knee injury management, Atlanta will have De'Andre Hunter in the lineup when it takes the parquet on Wednesday.

Each side will also have one of its more impactful players available after missing the last game between the Celtics and Hawks, a 113-103 win by Boston. Kristaps Porzingis and Jalen Johnson did not suit up for that matchup but will do so on Wednesday.
