Celtics Star Ruled Out for Thursday's Game vs. Pistons

In this story:
Thursday night at TD Garden, two of the NBA's more impressive streaks are on the line.
The Boston Celtics have yet to lose on their parquet, starting the season 14-0 at home. They'll put that on the line against a Detroit Pistons team that's lost 27 consecutive contests, the most in a season.
The visitors, who are 2-28, dwell at the bottom of the league's standings. Conversely, at 23-6, the hosts have the best record in the Association.
As the latter aims to avoid being the franchise Detroit snaps its losing streak against, it won't have Jaylen Brown in the lineup.
The two-time All-Star suffered a lower back contusion when LeBron James inadvertently kneed him in the second quarter of Boston's 126-115 win in its Christmas clash with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Fortunately for the Celtics, they've upgraded Jayson Tatum (left ankle sprain management) from questionable to available for Thursday's matchup.
Oshae Brissett and Lamar Stevens, who are dealing with non-Covid illnesses, and Svi Mykhailiuk, who has a left heel contusion, are also listed as active after their status for this contest was previously in question.
Thursday's tilt will tip off at 7:30 p.m. EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the game before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
