Celtics Starter Uncertain for Thursday's Game vs. Cavaliers

In this story:

The Boston Celtics improved to 17-5, matching the Minnesota Timberwolves for the NBA's best record, with a 120-113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.

The victory also extended their unbeaten streak at home, improving to 11-0 at TD Garden this season.

But Jaylen Brown rolled his left ankle late in the second quarter of their win. Six seconds later -- at the next stop in play -- the two-time All-Star subbed out of the game.

Fortunately, he came out at halftime for warm-ups and didn't miss any of the second half, finishing with 25 points, which tied Jayson Tatum for a team-high. He also registered four assists, a steal, and a block.

However, the All-NBA Second Team selection is listed as questionable on Boston's injury report for Thursday's rematch against the Cavaliers due to the ankle sprain he suffered.

Thursday's tilt will tip off at 7:30 EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the game -- including an update on Brown's status -- before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
