Jayson Tatum Shares What He'd Change in the NBA

If Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum had the power to change one thing about the NBA, here's what he would address.

Jayson Tatum made his debut as an NBA analyst on Saturday night, joining Vince Carter and Adam Lefkoe on the alternate telecast of the 3-Point Contest and Stephen Curry's and Sabrina Ionescu's 3-Point Challenge.

He then took to the court at Lucas Oil Stadium to help Jaylen Brown in the Slam Dunk Contest.

But before Saturday night's festivities, in his media availability during the day, where he addressed the narrative around his MVP candidacy, the Boston Celtics star got asked by David Aldridge of The Athletic, if bestowed with the powers of the commissioner, with the ability to do anything he wants, if Tatum could make one change in the NBA, what would he do?

His answer:

"One change, that's a funny one. If you get a tech -- bear with me. If you get a tech for overreacting to a call and you were right -- if they go back and look, the coaches do the challenge, and they overturn the call, that tech should be rescinded. You should get your money back. If you get a tech for overreacting to a call that was deemed incorrect or whatever, you should get your money back."

The five-time All-Star has received technicals for his reaction to a handful of egregious non-calls in particular. That includes getting two on the heels of his dunk attempt on the play below somehow not earning him a trip to the free-throw line.

Tatum only asking for people to get their money back if proven correct about the call they argued seems like a fair request, so as long as what they said or did doesn't outweigh them being right.
