The Latest on Jaylen Brown's Status for Celtics' Game vs. Raptors

Monday night in Toronto, the Celtics will attempt to sweep the Raptors for the second straight season.

In this story:

The Boston Celtics are 3-0 against the Toronto Raptors this season and haven't lost to them since Mar. 28, 2022, a 115-112 overtime tilt that Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford did not participate in.

Monday's matchup represents the chance to sweep their regular-season series against Toronto for the second straight year.

But doing so requires earning a win without Jaylen Brown. After registering a game-high 32 points in Saturday's 145-113 win over the Houston Rockets in Ime Udoka's return to Boston, the two-time All-Star is dealing with right knee hyperextension.

The last time these two teams played, Brown led the Celtics to a 120-118 win that Tatum did not partake in, pacing all participants with 31 points, grabbing ten rebounds, tied for the most in the contest, and dishing out six assists.

But this is Boston's first chance to face the Raptors since they reshaped their roster, acquiring Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett from the New York Knicks in exchange for OG Anunoby.

That move helps maximize rising star Scottie Barnes', but the hosts of Monday's matchup are on a three-game losing streak and have dropped six of their last ten tilts.

Whereas the visitors enter this contest 30-9 and sitting atop the NBA standings, Toronto is 15-24 and 12th in the Eastern Conference.

Monday's matchup will tip off at 7:30 p.m. EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the game before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
