The Latest on Jaylen Brown's Status for Wednesday's Celtics-Nets Game

In this story:
The Boston Celtics welcome Kristaps Porzingis back to the lineup for their last game before the All-Star break, a Wednesday night showdown vs. the Brooklyn Nets.
The seven-foot-three center missed Tuesday's tilt due to a lower back contusion he suffered in the Celtics' 110-106 victory vs. the Miami Heat on Super Bowl Sunday.
Boston and Brooklyn squared off at Barclays Center on Tuesday, with the visitors earning a 118-110 win, improving their NBA-leading record to 42-12.
Jayson Tatum became the fifth player in NBA history to register at least 40 points, 14 rebounds, five threes, five assists, and two steals. He's the only one to do so while committing fewer than three turnovers, per Max Lederman of NBC Sports Boston.
But his running mate and fellow All-Star, Jaylen Brown, will not suit up for Wednesday's rematch. The 2022 All-NBA Second Team selection registered 19 points and four assists in Brooklyn, but Boston's ruled him out due to a right shoulder contusion.
Sam Hauser will start in place of the Marietta, Georgia native.
The hosts had already ruled out Al Horford, who doesn't participate in both halves of a back-to-back, because of a left big toe sprain.
Trade-deadline acquisitions Xavier Tillman and Jaden Springer are also out. The former is inactive due to left knee injury management. The latter is dealing with a right ankle impingement.
Wednesday night's tilt vs. the Nets at TD Garden will tip off at 7:30 EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the game before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
