The Latest on Jrue Holiday's Status for Sunday's Celtics-Hawks Game

Sunday's Celtics-Hawks game will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. EST at TD Garden.

After a 113-96 loss to the Orlando Magic that highlighted the areas of greatest concern for the Boston Celtics, the team with the NBA's best record (12-4) will try to bounce back against the Atlanta Hawks at TD Garden on Sunday.

Unfortunately for the hosts, they're without Kristaps Porzingis. The seven-foot-three center exited Friday's defeat in Orlando due to a left calf strain. While the expectation is that he will miss multiple matchups, he posted on Instagram on Saturday that he got good news when he went for an MRI.

The Celtics' attempt to get back in the win column also requires overcoming the absence of Jrue Holiday, who their latest injury report reveals is downgraded from questionable for Sunday's contest to inactive.

The two-time All-Star suffered a right ankle sprain when he went for a layup, then came down on Brook Lopez's foot and rolled his right ankle late in Boston's 119-116 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.

Holiday also missed Friday's game against the Magic.

Sunday's tilt between the C's and the Hawks will tip-off at 6:00 EST at TD Garden. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the contest before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
