For the 28 teams no longer competing in the playoffs, their attention has turned to the upcoming NBA Draft. This includes the LA Clippers, who have reportedly worked out several draft prospects so far, with the latest confirmed player being Kansas State's Markquis Nowell.

Nowell is a 5'8" guard who averaged 17.6 PPG and 8.3 APG for Kansas State last season. He struggled from the field, shooting just 38.6%, but his overall performance earned him a spot on the 2022-23 All-Big 12 first team. A competitive defender as well, Nowell made the 2022-23 Big 12 All-Defense team, averaging 2.6 steals per game.

With the 30th and 48th picks in this year's NBA Draft, the Clippers have reportedly worked out several players expected to go in all different ranges, including spots well higher than LA is currently drafting. Draft night always presents unique and often unexpected opportunities, so the Clippers are doing all they can to prepare themselves for several possible outcomes.

These pre-draft workouts are often confirmed via player's social media accounts, so they can become difficult to follow. That said, there are accounts and outlets who track this very closely, and have consistently been reporting on which teams workout which players.

It's important to remember that teams working out draft prospects does not mean they intend to select them. Players work out for several teams, including those with picks outside of their projected range.
