Lakers and Clippers Given Best Odds to Acquire Chris Paul

In this story:
It was reported by Chris Haynes on Wednesday afternoon that the Phoenix Suns had notified Chris Paul that he will be waived. Haynes added that Paul is expected to be one of the top free agents this summer, and plans to play for several more years while helping a team contend for a championship.
Amidst this news, betting odds for Paul's next team have already released, with the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers being the favorites to acquire Paul:

If the Lakers choose not to re-sign D'Angelo Russell, a move for Paul could make sense. A move back to Los Angeles would also make sense for Paul, who still intends to compete for a championship, and would theoretically have the opportunity to do that alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
A Chris Paul reunion with the Clippers feels like less of a seamless fit than a move to the Lakers. For the Clippers, three of their biggest issues last season were health, pace, and athleticism. All three of these are areas Paul lacks in as well.
The Clippers have also publicly expressed their desire to re-sign Russell Westbrook, who thrives in all three of the aforementioned categories. It makes sense why the Clippers would appear this high on betting odds, given their geographical location, history with Paul, and potential point guard vacancy if Westbrook walks; however, the basketball fit is not ideal.
