Paul George Reveals Terrifying Details of Clippers' Plane Being Hit by Lightning

In this story:
There are very few things that sound scarier than your plane getting hit by lightning while it's in mid-air. Unfortunately for Paul George and the Clippers, they lived that terrifying reality.
Paul George revealed the terrifying details of when the Clippers' plane was hit by lightning on the newest episode of Podcast P. The event occurred when the team traveled to Denver for a game on February 26.
"So, the pilot warned us right," Paul George said. "Before we took off, he was like, 'listen, it's gonna be some turbulence, we're going to Denver, it's gonna get a little rocky.' We've been on thousands of flights, we know what turbulence feels like, it can't be that bad. We're flying right, and we just feel like the plane drop, it was like a free fall, like you go on a rollercoaster you feel a free fall... So, when it happened right, everyone was like, 'OH SH*T!' You heard it from the front of the plane, all the way to the back of the plane. So I was like, sh*t I'm gonna go to sleep."
Paul George decided he'd avoid the turbulence by going to sleep, but it was just too much to sleep through. Once he woke up, he realized this was a much more serious situation.
"It happened a couple of times, so that made sense, the turbulence," George said. "But this was more than usual, this was definitely the most that we've felt. Then we heard the plane just shut all the way off. I'm thinking like, 'damn, do I send the text now?'... We didn't know it was lightning was the reason why we dropped like that."
AllClippers spoke to some of those on the plane in February when this event happened, and they described it as "the worst flight I've ever been on in my life." Hopefully, this is a moment that the Clippers, nor anyone else, ever has to experience again.
