Beal had arguably the best season of his career next to Westbrook, averaging a career-high 31.3 PPG. As he mentioned on Thursday afternoon, Beal felt that Westbrook really pushed him and helped take his game to another level. This is something that so many of Westbrook's teammates have asked about, because not only does the Hall of Fame point guard create easy looks for his teammates, but he pushes them to be the best version of themselves as well.
Westbrook is a free agent, but is expected by most insiders to re-sign with the Clippers. If Westbrook remains with the Clippers, he will have a lot of battles with Beal and the Suns next season, who now have two of his former star teammates in Beal and Kevin Durant.
While people try to discredit Westbrook's career on a regular basis, all of his former teammates speak incredibly high of him. Beal has gone on the record calling Westbrook the best teammate he has even had, and has now credited him for pushing him harder than anybody else as well. Westbrook's Wizards tenure doesn't often get mentioned when people talk about his historic career, but he set several records during his time in Washington and made a real impression on the people there.
