Chris Paul Reveals Shocking Moment He Learned About Suns Trade

In this story:
The NBA season ended roughly only a week ago, but that hasn't stopped it from being exciting. Yesterday, Chris Paul was traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal. It was a move that no one expected, not even Paul himself.
In an interview with Sopan Deb of the New York Times, Paul revealed the exact moment he learned that he would be traded from the Phoenix Suns - he was on a flight and his son told him.
"It’s just — it’s tough," Paul said. "Seriously, it is part of the business, and what you realize is that no one owes you anything. No matter how you are with them or what you do, you realize that in this business, nobody owes you anything, as it should be. But when it comes through and my son texts me, I realize that, you know, Mat and Isiah, I guess, just wanted to go in a different direction."
Paul mentioned that he even just talked to James Jones, the GM of the Phoenix Suns, the day before the trade, and still was shocked.
In another interview with Good Morning America, Paul again mentioned that he learned on the flight going to the show about the trade.
"I was surprised too," Paul said. "I found out on the plane yesterday flying here, for this. In this league, anything can happen. You just figure out what’s next."
“I was surprised too … in this league anything can happen.”

If Paul were to leave the Washington Wizards, he's reportedly a target for the LA Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Golden State Warriors. Where he goes next is uncertain, but it looks like it'll be in the state of California.
