Kawhi Leonard Reacts to James Harden's Clippers Debut

The LA Clippers fell to the New York Knicks in James Harden's debut, and star forward Kawhi Leonard spoke with reporters after the game about his thoughts on how it went.

"[Harden] did a good job his first game in a while," Leonard said. "And it takes time to get his legs under him as far as conditioning, but he did a great job to me. Got everybody involved, running pick-and-roll very well."

Scoring 18 points on 8/16 from the field, Leonard was asked if he got lost in the newness of having Harden out there, and said, "No. It’s gonna be like that. We have guys that can score the ball. Won’t be the only one. I just gotta be ready when my opportunity comes."

Recognizing that the Clippers have a lot of different offensive weapons, Leonard did not feel lost on that end; however, it's reasonable to assume that he and his teammates will get more conformable playing alongside each other as the games go on. While nobody on the team has spoken about needing an established hierarchy on offense, this is something that will likely start to sort itself out as everyone gets comfortable and as rotations get more consistent.

For now, the Clippers know this will be a process, and it's one they believe will lead to them becoming a championship contending team.
