WATCH: Nick Nurse discusses the challenges of defending Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers face the Toronto Raptors for the first time this season, marking the first meeting between the 2019 Finals MVP and the defending champions.
Toronto head coach Nick Nurse is well aware of the challenges of defending a player who he refers to as an "unstoppable force". The Raptors faced a similar task in Sunday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers with LeBron James, a game that they won thanks to a spirited fourth quarter comeback, but Leonard is arguably a more complete player. Familiarity with the former Raptor doesn't make the assignment any easier for Nurse's team.
The primary defender on Leonard will presumably be OG Anunoby, who has blossomed into one of the premier perimeter stoppers in his third season in the league. When Anunoby sits, Pascal Siakam will likely take the matchup. Both players are arguably the toughest individual defenders Leonard will have faced this season, given that James didn't spend much time on Leonard in the season opener.
The Clippers are 5-1 at home thus far in 2019-20. Their lone loss came last week when Leonard rested against the Milwaukee Bucks. Toronto is 3-2 on the road, and coming off a back-to-back against the Lakers.
