A bizarre sequence during Game 4 of the Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns series saw Nuggets star Nikola Jokic make contact with Suns owner Mat Ishbia. Following a play where the ball entered the stands, and ended up in Ishbia's hands, Jokic went to retrieve the ball, and ended up making contact with Ishbia when the Suns owner did not willingly hand over the ball.

Jokic was assessed a technical foul following a review, and a fan seated behind Ishbia was ejected for making contact with Jokic. The play has been heavily discussed on social media, and former LA Clippers guard Patrick Beverley was one of those two weighed in:

Ishbia broke his silence on the incident with a Tweet on Monday morning, saying, "Great win for the Suns last night in an amazing series so far! That should be and is the only story. Suspending or fining anyone over last nights incident would not be right. I have alot of respect for Jokic and don’t want to see anything like that. Excited for game 5! Go Suns!"

As of right now, the NBA has not issued any additional punishment for those involved, which is the right decision. It was a bizarre sequence, but the NBA impacting a tied series over it by suspending Jokic is something nobody wants to see.
