LA Clippers guard Russell Westbrook got off to a good start against the Orlando Magic on Saturday afternoon, but he was unable to sustain his first quarter production, struggling the rest of the way. While Westbrook's poor showing after the first frame was not the sole reason LA fell to Orlando, the veteran point guard took full responsibility for the loss after the game.

"Honestly, this one was on me," Westbrook said. "I could've been better. It started off good, but the second half was terrible, and I have to do a better job of helping the guys out during the second half and in the fourth quarter. Honestly, it's just on me. More focus and closing the game."

Westbrook also expressed a level of excitement to get back on the court tomorrow against the Portland Trail Blazers, as he is looking forward to turning the page after this loss to Orlando.

Paul George was also asked about Westbrook's rough game, saying, "He's a professional, he's a veteran, top-75 player. He's gonna get through it. He knows to stay confident. He knows we trust him and got his back. He's gonna stay in attack mode. I don't ever worry about [Westbrook's] shooting. I know what he brings and his value to the team. That is bigger than anything, whether he makes or misses shots. He just does so much other stuff that - to me, I don't care. He plays hard. That's a guy I’m rolling with. He's a guy I wanna compete with on a nightly basis."

With confidence in himself to go along with support from his teammates, Westbrook is ready for a bounce back showing against the Blazers.
