With reports surfacing about opposing teams exploring the possibility of luring head coach Ty Lue away from the LA Clippers, additional reporting has since revealed the unlikely nature of that occurring.

Lue leaving the Clippers this summer always felt unlikely, as both he and Clippers president Lawrence Frank made it clear that he would be back next season. That said, teams like the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks were still rumored to be interested in exploring the possibility of prying Lue from the Clippers.

In a recent report from Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes, it was revealed that Clippers chairman Steve Ballmer is a big fan of Lue, which adds to the unlikely nature of the head coach going elsewhere.

"Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue's representatives met with the team this week to discuss the coach's future with the organization, league sources tell Bleacher Report. This meeting comes on the heels of Marc Stein's report that the Phoenix Suns are expected to explore the possibility of poaching Lue from the Clippers," Haynes wrote.

Haynes added, "Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is a huge fan of Lue and the two have a great relationship. They hold routine game-day meetings in Lue's office."

This is consistent with what Marc Stein reported, the insider who first broke the news of Phoenix's interest in Lue. Stein recently reported, "It is not yet clear, however, how feasible any approach for Lue will be. [Suns owner Mat] Ishbia's very aggressive, spare-no-expense nature led to the deadline-day trade acquisition of Kevin Durant in February, but Lue is still under contract to the Clippers and, according to league sources, can count Clippers owner Steve Ballmer as a huge fan of his."

It has now been reported numerous places that Steve Ballmer is a big fan of Ty Lue. When combined with the comments made by team president Lawrence Frank, it feels unlikely that Lue will be elsewhere next season.
