Are Miami Heat's Kevin Love And Kyle Lowry Next Up In The Hall Of Fame?

In this story:

This weekend, Miami Heat fans watched Dwyane Wade's induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He joined former Heat players such as Tim Hardaway, Shaquille O'Neal and Chris Bosh. Who on the current Heat roster could join them in Springfield one day?

Many fans are in agreement that Jimmy Butler will likely be there after his ascension to superstardom in Miami. But Kevin Love and Kyle Lowry are also in the conversation, despite their decline in recent years.

Lowry is a six-time All-Star and 2019 NBA champion, leading the Toronto Raptors for nearly a decade. He is No. 13 all time in regular season 3-point field goals No. 21 in playoff 3-pointers. Lowry could have built on his case with a strong 2022 playoff run but an underwhelming display stagnated arguments. Had he been relatively better, the Heat would have arguably made the Finals. Regardless, he can still add to his resume by climbing up the statistical ladder in his final seasons.

Meanwhile, Love has his own argument with a solid 15-year career and five All-Star appearances. Love is the Minnesota Timberwolves' all-time leading rebounder behind Kevin Garnett and Karl-Anthony Towns. He was a top 3 player on the Cleveland Cavaliers during their Finals days, collecting a 2016 championship over the 73-9 Golden State Warriors. Love had an immediate impact upon arriving with Miami, giving them the veteran presence and playmaking to win the Eastern Conference.

While the two may not be first-ballot Hall of Famers, their accomplishments certainly have them knocking on the door toward eternal basketball prosperity.
