Conor McGregor Explains Punching Miami Heat Mascot Burnie

MMA fighter Conor McGregor broke his silence about his extra punch on Miami Heat mascot Burnie during Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Nuggets.
Reports said the mascot went to the hospital after the staged punch but McGregor explained what happened in an interview with TMZ.
"The mascot's good. It was a skit and it went the way it went and all is well," the former UFC champion told TMZ in New York on Tuesday. "... I spent a lot of time with him afterwards, we spoke it out and everything was great. It was a skit, it was part of the show."
The Nuggets eventually went on to the win series in Game 5 in Denver. It was their first championship in franchise history. Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was named Finals MVP. It was the Heat's second loss in the Finals since 2020.
