How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted to the Loss Against the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday Night

The Heat enter the All-Star break on a sour note

The Miami Heat had a lot of positives to think about entering the NBA All-Star break, with Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro being among the participants in the weekend festivities.

But Wednesday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets took away some of the luster.

“This team is an absolute joke,” user HeatCulture said. “Jimmy was awful on both ends, Bam can’t get in rhythm because he has teammates who think they’re the first option, and 90% of this team is undrafted who can’t compete with real talent. Pat and Micky need to be kicked out of the front office.”

The Heat failed to contain Mikal Bridges, who had a career-high 45-point performance. He scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, including 15 straight to give Brooklyn a big lead late.

Miami’s starters were all in double figures but the bench struggled. After having the highest-scoring bench last year, the Heat are now second-to-last. Tyler Herro, Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin, bench players a year ago, are now starters. It has slowed bench production.

The stress of these games have left some fans glad to get a break from watching the team.

Others continue to poke fun at the lack of acquisitions made by the front office. The Heat are now off until Feb. 24 when they play the Milwaukee Bucks. In the meantime, Herro will participate in the 3-point shooting contest, and Bam Adebayo in the All-Star game.
