How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted to the Win Against the Detroit Pistons Sunday Night

The Heat’s win against the Pistons moved them closer to the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.

The Miami Heat fell short of coming back against the Chicago Bulls, but they made sure to complete their rally over the Detroit Pistons. This was a much-needed win for Miami’s hopes of climbing the Eastern Conference standings. Still, some fans were not impressed with the Heat struggling against the worst team in the league.

“I’m a die hard Heat fan but no way am I feeling confident for the next 2 games LMAO,” one user said.

The Heat struggled in the third quarter but had a huge final stretch to get the win over Detroit. Tyler Herro struggled most of the game before coming alive in the fourth quarter, where he scored 12 points to ice the game for Miami. For as critical as most fans were of the overall team performance, Herro at least was shown some grace.

Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo both had double doubles with 20-point performances. Kevin Love had a solid game with 12 points and eight rebounds. Caleb Martin continued to be huge off the bench with 13 points on 3 of 7 shooting from the arc. The poor 3-point shooting and bench’s lack of contributions will have to change if Miami wants to keep up with their Eastern rivals. Gabe Vincent will also need to improve offensively. After a stretch of double-digits scoring performances, Vincent combined for just nine points on 23 percent shooting the last two games.

This victory put the Heat one game behind the Brooklyn Nets (39-32). They play the New York Knicks (42-30) Wednesday night.
