Media Personality Taylor Rooks Steals The Show At The NBA All-Star Game

Taylor Rooks was the topic of conversation on NBA Twitter during All-Star weekend.

The All-Star Game started off highlighting the NBA’s biggest players like Steph Curry and Damian Lillard.

But NBA Twitter ended up making it about sports journalist Taylor Rooks.

Rooks has always been a hot topic of conversation amongst sports fans…for multiple reasons. Obviously, they can appreciate her work as a reporter, consistently interviewing some of the game’s top players. But at the same time, it’s been a recurring joke for fans to fawn over her looks.

The All-Star Game was no different, as many described Rooks as the “highlight” of the night.

The running joke extends to athletes as well, which started when Celtics star Jaylen Brown claimed he’d win five championships by age 28 in a 2018 interview with Rooks. Fans claim that athletes change their behavior to look better in front of Rooks. The latest victim was Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green.

“Draymond stepped within the gravitational pull of Taylor Rooks and all of a sudden this n**** behaving like a model citizen,” one user said. “Make Taylor the commish. The n****s gonna be in line quick fast and in a hurry.”

It was a relatively disappointing All-Star game for most. The offenses came to play but the lack of competitiveness and defensive stops made it difficult to enjoy. At least viewers had some type of satisfaction out of the game.

The regular NBA schedule resumes on Thursday. The Miami Heat play Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans (33-22). Miami is trying to get their seventh win in the last nine games.

Maybe Rooks can interview one of them so they have a career performance.
