Guard Goran Dragic became the latest Miami Heat player to be passed over for a postseason award.

Dragic was in consideration for the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award, but the honor reportedly will go to Los Angeles Clippers forward Montrezl Harrel. The news was first reported by The Athletic's Shams Charania.

"I think Goran definitely should've been considered for Sixth Man of the Year," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. "But who cares, our guys are contributing to this team. I do have feelings for them. I think it's great to get acknowledged for individual awards, particularly if you're on a winning team. But if nobody's paying attention, that's just the deal."

Harrell had a breakout season, averaging 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 58 percent. He has played a key role in the Clippers advancing to the Western Conference semifinals. Dragic began the season for the first time as reserve for the Heat. After taking the benching with ease, he averaged 15.2 points and 5.1 assists and helped the Heat earn the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. He moved to the starting lineup for the postseason and has scored at least 20 points in the last six games. The only Heat players to accomplish that feat are LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, both future Hall of Famers.

Dragic joins Bam Adebayo and Kendrick Nunn as Heat players with near-misses for postseason accolades. Adebayo was runner-up in the Most Improved Player voting while Nunn was second in the Rookie of the Year race.
