Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs Play Of The Night: Duncan Robinson Cashes Reverse Layup Past Victor Wembanyama

The Miami Heat’s play of the night came midway through the third quarter from forward Duncan Robinson

The Miami Heat trailed for the majority of the game but pulled out their fifth straight win against the San Antonio Spurs.

Duncan Robinson recorded 26 points, five rebounds, and four assists on 4 of 7 shooting from beyond the arc. He had multiple superstar-level plays, leading Miami to the five-point victory. His top possession occurred midway through the third quarter on No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama.

Robinson drove Wembanyama to the baseline before faking a retreat dribble to the corner. With Wembanyama off-balance, he drove into the paint, finishing off the play with a reverse layup. This play cut San Antonio’s lead to seven points.

The final quarter is where Robinson shined brightest. He scored 10 points on 75 percent shooting and 100 percent from three-point range.

His performance and that of All-Star Bam Adebayo were the leaders in Miami’s win. Adebayo wrapped up the game with 24 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and three steals on 50 percent shooting.

Jimmy Butler, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Josh Richardson had solid performances, combining for 42 points and 15 rebounds. The Spurs top performers were young stars Wembanyama and Keldon Johnson. The duo combined for 38 points in the 118-113 loss.

The Heat are facing off against LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets (3-6) on Tuesday evening.
