Miami Heat's Duncan Robinson Learning To Impact Games In Multiple Ways

In this story:
It's rare for opposing teams to scout Miami Heat forward Duncan Robinson as a facilitator.
The focus is usually on his 3-point shooting but the past two games should suggest otherwise. A day after impacting the game with his passing, he had 17 points on four 3-pointers in Tuesday's victory against the Portland Trail Blazers.
He had 11 assists the previous night versus the New Orleans Pelicans.
"I think that shows the versatility and development of his game that he was able to make the read of this game was different than it was last night," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "They were really taking him off the 3-point line and the play-making was essential for us last night. Tonight, we were just telling him to, `Hey, just shoot the ball and keep it simple."'
This bodes well for the Heat as they enter the final stretch. A versatile Robinson just makes it more difficult to scheme defensively. His strength is obviously on the perimeter but he's proving just as effective as a play-maker.
"He can do both, be the ending of a play when it's created by one of your guys or like [Monday] night when we need, he could play-make," Spoelstra said. "That's a development of his game."
