NBA 2K’s Ronnie Singh Says Jimmy Butler’s Playoff Performance Earned Him The Rating

Jimmy Butler is one of the 12 best players to receive such high rating

Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler is coming off arguably the best season of his career.

Due to it, he’s receiving tons of recognition, especially in the NBA 2K community.

The player ratings for NBA 2K24 were released recently and Butler earned a rating of 95, the highest of his career. It also placed him among the 12 best players in the game. When the news broke, it got the 2K fans talking.

In a recent interview with Fansided, head of 2K content marketing Ronnie Singh explained why Butler deserved the high rating.

“I think the one that got a lot of conversation going was Jimmy Butler at 95,” Singh said. “I definitely saw that on social media. Look, Jimmy obviously — he is a one-man crew. I mean, obviously he’s got great teammates, but he really stood out in the playoffs, and that sample size of the games there really made an argument for Jimmy Buckets. So, really interesting to see him at 95, and that really got the community talking.”

Butler averaged 22 points last season, leading the Heat to the NBA Finals for the second time in four years. But his performance in the playoffs is what stood out. He averaged 26 points and had the best game of his career. In Game 4 of the first round against the Milwaukee Bucks, he scored a playoff career-high 56 points. He continued to have a remarkable Finals run despite playing through a swollen ankle.

There may be some, however, you disagree with his rating. The one thing that they may bring up is his turnover in Game 5 of the Finals against the Denver Nuggets. It ultimately cost them the series. Regardless, Butler has done enough to earn the rating.
