NBA Top Five Performances, March 15: Steph Curry’s Performance Not Enough for the Warriors to Win Against the Los Angeles Clippers

Steph Curry had a jaw-dropping performance against the Clippers but the Warriors were unable to capitalize.

TOP PLAYERS OF THE DAY:

The Golden State Warriors dropped their ninth consecutive road game but Steph Curry did all he could to get the victory. One day after turning 35, Curry had 50 points on 8 of 14 shooting from 3-point range. He joined an exclusive list of players with 50-point performances after age 35.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr marveled at Curry but addressed the lack of offensive rebounding in the loss.

“With the way our roster is right now, we're vulnerable on the glass,” Kerr said. "I thought the Clippers played a great game. I love the way our guys played, they hung it there, and Steph was sublime. It was incredible to watch him play tonight. It was a great game, we just came up short.”

OTHERS:

- Sacramento Kings star point guard De’Aaron Fox hit the game winner over the Chicago Bulls to cap a 32-point performance.

- Jaylen Brown had 35 points and 10 rebounds in the Boston Celtics’ win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Brown had 15 points in the fourth quarter.

- Joel Embiid’s double-double led the Philadelphia 76ers with a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Embiid had 36 points, 18 rebounds and four blocks in the Sixers' sixth straight victory.

- Dallas Mavericks forward Christian Wood had 28 points and 13 rebounds to get the overtime victory over the San Antonio Spurs without Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, who were both injured.
