Tyler Herro, Erik Spoelstra On "Same Page" After Damian Lillard Saga Vital This Season

In this story:
The Miami Heat took a huge loss this season when they were unable to acquire Damian Lillard.
It's OK because the Heat also picked up a big "W" entering this season.
All it took was a phone call from coach Erik Spoelstra to guard Tyler Herro to ensure they are ready to work in unison.
“Him reaching out and wanting to connect was really important to me," Herro said during an interview on Sirius XM Radio. "To understand we’re both on the same page as to what was going to happen at that point … I put in a lot of work over the summer and I’m really excited to get going and show my improvements”
Herro was at the center of most trade talks involving Lillard for nearly three months. The move could have put Herro in a foul mood but he's put it past him since Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.
"Just being able to connect with him and understand that we're both on the same page"

Now, Herro can just focus on being the Heat's third part of a core that includes Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. While they didn't pull of deals like the Bucks and Boston Celtics, the Heat still have one of the league's most tested rosters after making two NBA Finals appearances in four years.
That alone should keep them in contention in the Eastern Conference.
Does Tyler Herro's Composure Amongst Damian Lillard Trade Equate To A Breakout Season?
