It appears Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo for a big game tonight against the Brooklyn Nets

The Heat are without six players for the preseason home finale at Kaseya Center. They are R.J Hampton (hip), Tyler Herro (thigh), Caleb Martin (knee), Jaime Jaquez (groin), Jimmy Butler and Kevin Love.

Butler is no longer injured but has returned to conditioning. Love is healthy but sitting so coach Erik Spoelstra has more opportunity to look at other players before the regular season begins. The Heat have one preseason game left before next week's opener against the Detroit Pistons

None of the injuries appears serious, with Jaquez being the most concerning just because he is missing out on valuable developmental time. After playing just one full game during the NBA Summer League, he sustained the groin injury in the preseason.

Jaquez, the No. 18 pick in the draft, has impressed so far. He had 13 points and seven rebounds in his debut last week against the Charlotte Hornets

“I think without giving the obvious comparison, he's watched a great deal of Kobe [Bryant] and Jimmy [Butler," Spoelstra said recently of Jaquez]. "I think it takes any unique person to be that observant and then have that kind of patience to be able to work on something. Particularly as a young player. You know, most young players are sped up and they're trying to do everything so fast. He has a patience to his game.”
