Undisputed Host Skip Bayless Hasn’t Seen Anything Like This Year's Miami Heat
The Miami Heat’s season has been full of surprises and comebacks.
The Denver Nuggets went into Game 2 as nine-point favorites to win but the Heat, once again, proved it wrong. Granted, they were struggling to stay in it but they used a huge fourth quarter to even the series at 1.
On Monday, Fox Sports 1 Undisputed host Skip Bayless applauded the Heat for their toughness and admitted he had never seen anything like them before.
“I been watching this league for a long time,” Bayless said. “I never seen anything quite like these Miami Heat. I do love to watch them. I do love to root for them because you never know where it’s going to come from on any given night.”
Just like the regular season, the Heat had to deal with a rough patch in the playoffs. They lost one of their top scorers in Tyler Herro during Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks and let the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics go to Game 7.
“I’m going to remind everybody, they lost their regular-season scorer Tyler Herro in Game 1 against Milwaukee,” Bayless said. “He might play in Game 3 back in Miami. But look at them now. They’re one all going home without their best scorer during the regular season. A 20 point a game scorer.”
The Heat kept their heads down in those situations and blocked out the critics. Now, they’re in the NBA Finals, battling for a championship.
The Nuggets are still favorites to win Game 3 but when the Heat are underdogs, they seem to play at their best.
