Western Conference Recaps, Apr. 5: The Los Angeles Clippers Defeated The Los Angeles Lakers Despite LeBron James’ 33 Points

The Los Angeles Clippers victory over the Los Angeles Lakers moved them to the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference.
Norman Powell’s 27 points off the bench helped the Clippers secure a 125-118 victory against the Lakers, snapping their four-game losing streak. Kawhi Leonard had 25 points and Ivica Zubac recorded 17 points and 13 rebounds.
LeBron James led the Lakers with 33 points but scoring just three in the first half. Anthony Davis had 17 points and 11 rebounds while Austin Reaves scored 20 points.
OTHER NOTES:
-The Dallas Mavericks have drawn themselves closer to the play-in tournament. They used a huge second half to secure a 123-119 victory against the Sacramento Kings. Kyrie Irving led the way with 31 points, scoring 19 of them in the fourth quarter. Luka Doncic recorded 29 points and 10 rebounds while Tim Hardaway had 24 points.
De’Aaron Fox scored 28 points for the Kings while Domantas Sabonis recorded 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
-For the first time in New Orleans Pelicans history, three of their players scored 30-plus points in the same game. Herbert Jones led them all with 35 points while the Pelicans grabbed a 138-131 overtime victory. CJ McCollum recorded 31 points and 10 rebounds while Trey Murphy had 30 points.
With Ja Morant sidelined due to a hip injury, Jaren Jackson led the Grizzlies with 40 points and Dillon Brooks scored 25.
