Western Conference Recaps, March 14: Anthony Davis Led The Los Angeles Lakers Past New Orleans Pelicans

The Los Angeles Lakers hit a franchise-record 15 3-pointers in the first half against the Pelicans

The Los Angeles Lakers made a franchise-record 15 3-pointers in the first half to take a 123-108 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans. The 35-point first half deficit was the largest in Pelicans history.

Anthony Davis led the way with 35 points and 17 rebounds and Malik Beasley had 24 points, including seven 3-pointers.

“[Anthony] Davis put it on himself to spearhead what you saw today,” Lakers head coach Darvin Ham said. "But everyone was locked in. Everyone was ready to make a contribution.

Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 22 points and Trey Murphy had 20.

OTHER NOTES:

-The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns 116-104, clinching a playoff spot for the seventh straight season. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 36 points and 11 rebounds. Brook Lopez had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Jrue Holiday had 12 points.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 30 points and Deandre Ayton had 16.

-The New York Knicks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 123-107. 

Immanuel Quickley led the way with 26 points and 10 rebounds while Julius Randle had 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 38 points and Anfernee Simons had 22.
