Western Conference Recaps, March 18: The Sacramento Kings Get Closer To No. 1 Seed After Victory Against Washington Wizards

Domantas Sabonis scores 30 points in Kings’ victory against Wizards

The Sacramento Kings are getting closer to the Western Conference’s top seed.

After defeating the Washington Wizards 131-118, they are tied with the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 2 seed and only three and a half games behind the Denver Nuggets.

While De’Aaron Fox struggled, Domantas Sabonis led the Kings with 30 points, nine rebounds, and 10 assists.

“I think with Domas, he brings a lot of attention with him offensively," said rookie Keegan Murray, who finished with 19 points. "With our offense, it’s just fluid. You never know what to expect. We can do different things at different times. Tonight we did that. We got a lot of open looks. We made shots.”

With Kristaps Porzingis sidelined with an illness, Kyle Kuzma led the Wizards with 33 points and Bradley Beal had 20.
