Many Miami Heat fans ready to start celebrating will have to hold off for at least two more days. The Heat dropped their first conference finals game against the Boston Celtics in a blowout loss.

“What a pathetic 2nd half effort,” user HeatCulture said. Jimmy was trolling and waited too long to turn up, Bam was just awful, Spo’s rotations were confusing, 15 turnovers is not good basketball and we couldn’t make 3s to stay in the game. Game 5 is a must-win for us. Be ready on Thursday!”

Heat fans are still confident in their team advancing to the Finals but are disappointed it couldn’t have happened sooner.

Then again, others are nervous the series may extend too far.

The Heat team displayed in Game 4 mirrored the one fans expressed frustration with throughout the regular season. Their lackluster third quarter play continued, as they were outscored 38-23 in the period. They shot 25 percent from 3-point range, with Max Strus and Duncan Robinson combining for just 11 points. Heat veterans Kyle Lowry and Kevin Love only contributed 11 as well.

Meanwhile, Cody Zeller drew more criticism from Heat Twitter.

Even Bam Adebayo took some heat after going 4 of 7 for just 10 points and zero assists.

History still favors Miami, but the series is a bit more uncomfortable now. It’s hard to imagine Boston losing three consecutive home games, which means this could go much longer than fans want.

The Heat hope to close the series out and avoid any drama in TD Garden Thursday night.
