Miami Heat fans were ready to go scorched earth on their team after nearly losing to the Houston Rockets. Many fans still expressed concern but an exciting finish temporarily satisfied them.

Jimmy Butler had six points going into the fourth quarter. He was clutch  once again, scoring 10 in the final period including the winner.

Many fans were about to unleash on Butler but his performance in the final stretch erased any criticism previously made.

Tyler Herro once again had a monster performance, ending the night with 31 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. In the last three games against Houston, Herro averaged 34.3 points, making several clutch shots like his go-ahead 3-pointer last night.

Despite the win, Heat fans’ demands for trades were justified by the results. Going toe-to-toe with the worst team in the league isn’t exactly a good look for a supposed playoff contender. The trade demands were not met Thursday at the deadline. The narrative of the team getting no help will be repeated by Heat fans for the rest of the year.

“Well getting a W is always the main goal but the fact we are in a dogfight with the worst team in the league shows you the lack of talent outside of Jimmy-Bam-Herro,” user HeatCulture said. “Might as well sign Russ and we desperately need a real PF. Pat do something man…”

The Heat play the Orlando Magic (23-33) tonight.
