When the Miami Heat were on the verge of elimination, many fans were calling for them to end their season to avoid the dread of watching their team in the postseason. Now, the Heat are one victory from heading back to the conference finals with a strong possibility of a championship. They defeated the New York Knicks in Game 4 to go up 3-1, giving them a 95 percent chance of clinching the series.

Bam Adebayo had another big game, much to the delight of Heat fans. He finished the night with 23 points and 13 rebounds, keeping up with Jimmy Butler offensively.

Butler had another masterful performance with 27 points, 10 assists and six rebounds. But the difference in this series compared to the first round is the outside contributions to avoid Butler having individual performances. Caleb Martin, Kyle Lowry, and Max Strus all ended in double figures, continuing to shine when called upon.

Game 2 had many Heat fans accusing the referees of calling the game in New York’s favor. The result Monday was the opposite, as fans accused the officiating favoring Miami. Josh Hart and Julius Randle fouled out, while Jalen Brunson had five personal fouls.

Heat fans clapped back, calling these complaints excuses while highlighting the poor officiating in Game 2.

“Always the refs, never the effort or shot making,” one user said. “Didn't hear shit when they gave them game 2 though but we cool.”

The Heat head to New York Wednesday night for Game 5 in hopes of closing out the series.
