Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers Matchup Of The Night: Duncan Robinson vs. Max Strus

In this story:
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Max Strus is looking to make noise against his former team in tonight’s matchup against the Miami Heat.
But this season’s Duncan Robinson may have something to say about that.
Last year, Strus took Robinson’s spot in Miami’s lineup, acting as their sharpshooter. Since his departure, Robinson is performing at a high level as a prominent piece of their rotation. He has recorded more than 20 points in three of the Heat’s last five contests.
Robinson is averaging 15.1 points on 43.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Strus is averaging 14.7 points on 37.3 percent shooting from three-point range.
Both players are entering this game with a point to prove to Miami’s organization. Robinson is aiming to show that his four-year, $90 million contract is deserved. On the other hand, Strus wants his performance to make the Heat rethink letting him walk in free agency.
They lost Strus and guard Gabe Vincent in the offseason to their focus on acquiring Damian Lillard, who ended up with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Robinson is stepping up in the absence of star guard Tyler Herro, who is expected to return in December. His performance is leading some fans to speculate if Herro should return to his six-man role.
With both teams missing a prominent scoring option, Robinson and Strus’ contributions are key to the outcome of this game.
