TOP PLAYERS OF THE DAY:

There were some concerns for the Golden State Warriors after dropping three consecutive games.

They rebounded with an overtime win against the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks behind the superstar performance of Steph Curry. He finished with 36 points on 13 of 27 shooting, including six 3-pointers. Curry had the Warriors’ last 11 points in regulation and a block on Jrue Holiday to force overtime. He had nine points in the extra period, totaling 22 in the last two quarters of the game. Curry continues to establish himself as the greatest shooter of all time, even as he approaches his 35th birthday.

But he said his defensive play was the difference last night.

“To hit a couple big shots down the stretch and then find yourself in a position where you can make a play on the other side, it gives everybody a good boost,” Curry said. “I think I got more about that in the locker room than any shot I made tonight.”

OTHERS:

- Talen Horton-Tucker’s season-high 37 points helped the Utah Jazz defeat the Charlotte Hornets. Horton-Tucker is averaging 27 points, 7.3 assists and five rebounds in his last three games.

- Kawhi Leonard’s 38 points led the Los Angeles Clippers to victory against the New York Knicks. Leonard accounted for 35 percent of the Clippers’ scoring Saturday night.

- Jayson Tatum had 34 points and 15 rebounds for the Boston Celtics against the Atlanta Hawks.

- Zach LaVine’s 36-point performance fueled the Chicago Bulls’ fourth-quarter run to get the victory against the Houston Rockets.
