Since His Rookie Season, Tyler Herro Has More Points Than Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard

In this story:
Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is entering his fifth season in the NBA, looking to take a leap into being an All-Star-caliber player.
Since entering the league, Herro has scored 4,272 points, which is more than superstars Kawhi Leonard (4,074) and Kevin Durant (3,952).
In their defense, Durant and Leonard have dealt with season-ending injuries since Herro’s rookie year in 2020. Both superstar forwards switched teams in this frame, while Herro remains with the Heat despite his inclusion in trade negotiations.
On the other hand, Herro has also outscored the likes of Chris Paul, Jamal Murray, Jordan Poole, and Jalen Brunson, who remained relatively healthy over the last four years.
The narrative around Herro has shifted following his injury in Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks last postseason. The former Sixth Man of the Year’s value has depleted because the Heat reached the Finals while he was sidelined.
The word out of Heat’s training camp, which began Tuesday, is that Herro is playing with a chip on his shoulder entering next season. He feels the need to prove the doubters wrong, making himself untradeable in Miami’s eyes.

Herro is hoping to increase his offensive efficiency, further increasing the gap between him and these aging superstars.
